New Government Guidelines!
Table Service and 10pm closure.
Just a little note and information to inform our lovely customers.
We will no longer be serving Alcohol from the Premises unless you have a prior booking or Afternoon Tea (pre-booked), as you will then receive Table Service.
We have had to put this measure in place as we cannot physically provide table service to customers efficiently and safely at the moment because of the cost implications.
We don’t sell much alcohol, it does not make sense to change our very safe procedures for a small amount of alcohol sales. So we will no longer be selling any alcohol.
We do apologise to anyone who comes to us and purchases alcohol, but please understand the cost implication for us to provide this service would mean it would not be worth us functioning as a business.
We are very busy in the Tearoom and our safety measures are fantastic, we will however have to alter things slightly when it gets a little chillier in Winter, but at the moment we take orders from our Tearoom window outside (under Cover). Our way works so well it limits the contact between staff and customers which is far safer for everyone.
We are not a restaurant and people do not stop for long periods of time drinking alcohol, so our normal service is the best option for us as a business and for you as customers. Also as our business hours for the Tearoom are 10am to 3pm we don’t need to worry about the earlier closing times either of 10pm.
These guidelines are to discourage people from meeting in bigger groups, consuming alcohol over long periods of time and not adhering to the government guidelines after a few tipples, so we do not categorise ourselves as high risk in this sector as we don’t do this and our business is a Tearoom where people just come to have breakfast or Lunch.
We would however like to thank all our wonderful customers for keeping us going and the support you have shown has been amazing, without you all we would not be here right now so thank you again.
